A Moment in Time

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A photo – no words – capturing any moment from my past travel experiences. A simple, special, extraordinary moment.

A moment you want to pause, savour and remember.

“This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man adopted from SouleMama which was introduced to me by Sarah-Jane.

This is my moment! If you want to read the story behind the photo, please follow the link at the bottom of the page.

If you have a Moment please share your link in the comments section and I will pop in to have a look .. Ciao!

The story behind the photo:

I have been fortunate to have done quite a bit of travelling over the last 10 years. By heart I am an adventurer and I love exploring new places, cultures and food. Travelling can become stressful and expensive. Over the years I have learnt to travel as cost effective as possible, simply by travelling more clever. Nelmitravel.com is a Adventure and Budget Travel site where I review Airlines, Accommodation, Transport, Restaurants and give helpful travel information.

  1. And to think this painting can be found on the inside of the Chapel Bridge (one of the landmarks of Switzerland), who knows by the way not unless you read the story behind that picture…. I did and now I know….Thanks Nelieta! You're the best! XOXOXO

  2. Hi Savira, the words are in German. It is a very famous bridge in Lucerne that almost got destroyed in a fire in 2003. There are a series of paintings on the bridge that tells the story of Lucerne. These paintings were restored by people in Mauritius. I am not sure what they say, my German is not very good..lol!

  3. Hi Jessica M, the bridge is really beautiful. There are so many of these paintings when you cross the bridge. They are all unique and beautiful. I must admit the fun thing for me is to put the history behind each photo. The idea is to have it published at some stage and the history part is very important.

  4. it's heartening to realise that many artifacts, art works and features of life remain and are renewed. my piec of religious devotion is athttp://www.tbaoo.com/2011/03/18/friday-moment-18-–-3/

  5. When I saw the beautiful painting, I couldn't just leave it be, I had to clink the link to find out more about it. I'm glad I did! To think something like that would be part of the bridge? I'm glad they were able to recover some of it.
