A Moment in time

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A photo – no words – capturing any moment from my past travel experiences. A simple, special, extraordinary moment.

A moment you want to pause, savour and remember.

“This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man adopted from SouleMama which was introduced to me by Sarah-Jane.

This is my moment! If you want to read the story behind the photo, please follow the link (story behind the photo) at the bottom of the page.

Story behind the photo

I have been fortunate to have done quite a bit of travelling over the last 10 years. By heart I am an adventurer and I love exploring new places, cultures and food. Travelling can become stressful and expensive. Over the years I have learnt to travel as cost effective as possible, simply by travelling more clever. Nelmitravel.com is a Adventure and Budget Travel site where I review Airlines, Accommodation, Transport, Restaurants and give helpful travel information.

  1. Loved the flowers. The moment one stops to buy flowers, a whole vibrant world opens up and not only that flowers spread joy, scent and warmth. The giver as well as the receiver get the pleasure. Thanks Nelieta.Read the story as well.Joy always,Susan

  2. I love this type image..it tells a story.. who is he buying the flowers for? Are they just I love you flowers or I'm sorry flowers lolhttp://jpweddingphotograpy.blogspot.com/2011/08/photographing-candid-childrens-photos.html

  3. Ah, this is among my Friday rituals, as well. When I had my office on Pennsylania Avenue, I visited the street florist each Friday at noon. To bring home flowers to dress the dinner table (long after there was a wife with whom to share them). Now, it's a little harder, since my office is not where florists loom (Virginia frowns on street vendors) and there is not enough time to visit a real florist. But, on occasion, when my clients' crises are controllable, I manage the extra 15 minutes to snag my pekoe-stained roses…Thanks for the memories.

  4. Thank you for the lovely comment Roy! I love fresh flowers in the house. It is the one thing I always notice when I enter a house. Unfortunately I am very unlucky growing them. They always die or the ants eat them. I will give it another shot this year 🙂

  5. True Jim! It does unlock a story. I watched him as he was picking the flowers and it looked like it was a spur of the moment thing. Lucky lady 🙂

  6. The man definitely looks perplexed. Like it is his last chance to get his lost love back. I need to read the behind the pic part. I do however like to look at pics and imagine my own story. Beautiful moment.

  7. Aah the smell of romance is in the air!! One can never go wrong by purchasing flowers for that special someone in their life. Love the smell of fragrant flowers and a bouquet certainly brightens up a house. I always have a vase of freshly cut flowers on Erin's s shrine and they're replaced as needed….

  8. I love receiving flowers and I think that it is one of the most romantic things that a man can do for that special lady in his life. Flowers brighten up any house :)Thank you for the comment David. I am sure Erin would love the flowers 🙂

Thank you for visiting. Have a fabulous day!
