Central Accommodation in Moscow

When we visited Moscow we wanted to book into a hostel that is centrally located. There is so much to see and do in the centre of Moscow and this was an important requirement for us. Suharevka Hostel was ideal. I found them through Hostelworld.com.The entrance of the hostel is next to a small bakery. It is a great bakery! To access the hostel on the 4th floor is a little complicated if you forgot the access code. The access code is given to you when you make the booking. The staff on duty at the hostel was not very friendly. That is not uncommon for Russia. They were not rude but I found them not eager to help or assist you.I am not sure what the reason was, maybe because we did not want them to register my Visa, but they were not very helpful. Luckily we did not have any problems with the language because my husband is Russian.

Don´t expect much in terms of the rooms. They are very small. The twin room that we booked had very little space but was comfortable. One of the beds were broken but they fixed it for us without any problem. If you are planning to book into this hostel try to get a room that is not facing the street. The street is very busy and noisy.

The bathrooms were always clean. They have an absolutely amazing shower in one of the bathrooms. I couldn’t get Andrey out of the shower. It played music and had water spraying from all angles. Only pity is I couldn’t operate it! All the electronics were very confusing and I ended up with cold water most of the times 🙂

Central Accommodation in Moscow

They have a small and cosy kitchen as well as a lounge. Internet is for free. The hostel is very centrally located close to the metro, bakery,24/7 food store and a bar.

Breakfast is not included in the price.

I believe the hostel had been upgraded since we’ve been there. The colour scheme was a bright red and they have toned it down. I cannot fault the hostel and will stay there again. The price was reasonable and that is a very important factor to keep in mind as Moscow is a very expensive city!
