KFC- A first time for everything

KFC; Kentucky Fried Chicken; KFC in Moscow; KFC Chicken;

Some time ago I found an old brochure in my drawer for KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). My mouth was watering and I showed it to Andrey. He looked at it and after some time asked me: “Why did we never eat KFC when I was visiting you in South Africa?”

True. We never did. We always bought pizza or Steers. I didn`t know what to say and promised him if we ever find KFC we will buy and then he can taste the famous recipe of  Colonel Saunders. Well, here in Argentina you cannot find KFC. I don`t think it will be very popular because people here don`t eat spicy or oily food.

It was our last day in Moscow and we were not looking for a KFC. It just so happened that I saw the unmistakable sign and we decided to go inside. It was expensive and we wanted to turn around and leave. See we never ate in any restaurants while we visited Russia. We always cooked at home. After a little discussion we went back inside and decided to treat ourselves to a bucket.

The bucket had 4 different kinds of chicken and one was very spicy. Andrey was really excited to taste it and after the first piece he told me that he liked it. It was really good and I am so happy we finally had an opportunity for hubby to taste KFC.

I love KFC and have always been a huge and loyal fan. Such a pity they don`t have it over here.

  1. I’m surprised there is a KFC in Russia! 🙂 Glad you all enjoyed yourselves and the food. For chicken in the south, we usually go for Chick-fil-a, although there are ample KFCs.
    Blessings to you!

    1. Hi Martha, in Moscow you can find anything. So much has changed over the years and there are many American fast food shops. I wish we would see more in Argentina but we only have McDonalds,Burger King and TGIF in the big cities. Have a blessed week!

  2. Dear Nelieta,
    I used to eat a lot of KFC and chicken from Boston Market back in the day…they are everywhere here in the US, but after a health scare a few years ago, I cut out all junk food and rarely eat it anymore. You’ve got me craving some now I see that famous red box! LOL
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Dear Andy, I don`t know Boston Market at all. Sorry to hear about your health scare. In a way we are very lucky because we hardly eat fast foods. Unfortunately when we go to the big cities we always look up McDonalds or Burger King. That is a real treat for us. Have a great day!!!

  3. Believe me you are better off without them. Not sayin’ I wouldn’t miss them, but sometimes it is just to convenient. I am glad Audrey got to try the KFC and that he enjoyed it….

    1. I know it is not healthy especially when you eat it on a regular basis. Fast food places are not easy to find in the smaller towns here in Argentina. Unfortunately we always look for a McDonalds or Burger King when we go to the big cities. Luckily it is only once in a while that we go there. He really liked it but he also said that it is not for every day.

  4. Now you and Andrey have gone and set me off on a craving for KFC – they’re just down the road from us – but we keep our visits to the minimum 🙂 Glad Andrey enjoyed it!

    1. LOL..I wish we had a KFC just down the road from us Corinne 🙂 Yes, I agree..KFC is not a healthy choice and should be eaten once in a while. He really enjoyed it!

Thank you for visiting. Have a fabulous day!
