Taking a break and going to the sea

Andrey gave me one look and said:” Why don`t you go away for a couple of days?”

I agreed. This time however it wasn`t the adventurer answering but a tired woman who needs some time alone. The last couple of months have been rough and we have been working insane hours. Sadly, it`s been taking it`s toll and I am tired, my immune system is down and I don`t feel like my normal self.

Adding to that, we are planning a 3 month trip to Russia in June. We are dealing with Visa problems, finding suitable people to take care of the Hostel while we are gone and working out logistics. When you have your own business it is not that easy to pack up and go.

Maybe a break will do me good.

People smile when I tell them that travel destinations pick me. This time it is no different. For some unknown reason the ocean is drawing me like a magnet. No matter where I look, I see images of the beach and ocean. I hear the waves crashing and I can smell it.

So I decided to go to a very popular beach resort 360 km from Buenos Aires. March is the ideal time to go. It is out of season, few people, quiet and the weather is lovely. Pinamar is a beautiful place with endless opportunities to walk, take photos and to enjoy time by myself.”>The journey is brutal. 11 hours by bus to Buenos Aires and then another 5 hours to Pinamar. I don`t mind. Long distance buses in Argentina are very comfortable and the journey will be pleasant. I was planning to take the train but all tickets are sold out until after Easter. The train journey is a great adventure. Next time.

I am so looking forward to be able to walk along the shore, watch the sunrise and sunset. This is also a spiritual journey for me. I feel like I have been neglecting my conversations with God. I have so much to tell Him. Lately it feels like I have just been asking.  I will have time to reflect and to get back in touch with my inner voice.

I am taking a break. I am going to the ocean.

Taking a break and going to the sea

I have been fortunate to have done quite a bit of travelling. By heart I am an adventurer and I love exploring new places, cultures and food. Travelling can become stressful and expensive. Over the years I have learnt to travel as cost effective as possible, simply by travelling more clever. Nelmitravel.com is a Adventure and Budget Travel site where I review Airlines, Accommodation, Transport, Restaurants and give helpful travel information.
