Vnukovo international airport in Moscow.

Vnukovo International Airport is situated 28 kms from Moscow city. The airport was recently renovated (They were still busy with renovations when we were there). It is one of the most modern airports in Moscow.

There are 2 terminals “D” for Domestic flights and “B” for International flights.Upon entering the airport you will be required to go through security detectors. If you fail the security check you will not be allowed entry into Moscow.The airport serves the following Airlines: Armavia, Atlant-Soyuz, Donavia, Gazpromavia, Germanwings, KMV – Kavminvody Avia, Redwing Airways, Rossiya Airlines, Sky Express (Greece), UTair, Vladivostok Air, Volga-Dnepr and Yakutia Airlines.

Transport to and from Vnukovo Airport.

Airport to ‘Yugo-Zapadnaja’ Metro station. Busses stop 30 meters away from the metro station entrance.

1. Public bus # 611 (15-25 Rubles). Departs every 10 – 15 minutes between 5.30 – 00.50 (5.30 a.m. thru 12.50 a.m.)Journey time is 35 minutes.

2.Vnukovo Express-Bus #611c (15 Rubles if you are buying ticket in a ticket office), 25 Rubles (if you are buying ticket from driver), each piece of luggage – 10 Rubles. Departs every 10-15 minutes between 6. 00 – 11.00 and 15.30 – 20.00 ( 6 a.m. thru 11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. thru 8 p.m.) Journey time 25 minutes.

3. Minibus Service (Avtoline Bus #45 and #611B.One way fare – 60 Rubles, each piece of luggage – 10 Rubles. Leaves every 10 minutes.

Airport to Kievskiy Train Station (Rail Link).

1.Vnukovo Express-Train.One way fare – 120 Rubles.(The entrance is in a train station building under the inscription “Exspress Vnukovo”). Departs every hour according to the timetable between 7. 00 – 23.00 ( 7 a.m. thru 11 p.m.).Journey time 35 minutes.

Other Transport inlcude the following:

1.Minibus Service (Avtoline Bus #705m).One way fare is 80 Rubles, each piece of luggage – 10 Rubles.Connects the airport and the nearest metro station ‘Oktyabrskaya’ and it stops 25 meters away from the metro station entrance. Leaves every 10 minutes.Journey time is 40 minutes.

2.Vnukovo Express-Bus to Domodedovo Airport.Departs every 90 minutes and the journey time is 95 minutes.

We have used the Minibus from the airport and we bought the tickets from the driver. It was a nice and comfortable ride into the city.
