Looks like ash to me. What a great photo, it does indeed make you wonder as to his eyes. that smile makes it seem as though you can sense the glint in his eyes.

I am afraid not, Roy 🙂 This was volcanic ashes from Patagonia in Argentina. When the volcano in Chile errupted the ashes blew over into Argentina, causing havoc.
Thank you Sulekha and lovely quote. This was not sand but volcanic ashes. When it mixes with water it turns hard and is very difficult to remove from plants and even the water.

This is volcanic ashes Rimly. We saw it last month in Patagonia when the volcano in Chile errupted again. All the ashes were blowing into Argentina causing havoc!
Hi Louise, thank you for the visit..yes this was a difficult one. It looks like sand but is in fact volcanic ashes. It is so soft but when it mixes with water it turns hard like cement! I enjoyed your moment 🙂

Hi Jan, yes you are right, This is ash from the volcano in Chile that errupted last month. It caused havoc here in Argentina. He had quite an obnoxous look in his eyes because he wanted to throw me with the ashes!

It was very cool! No this was on our way to Villa La Angostura. We saw no ashes in Bariloche or San Martin de los Andes.
