Business and Executive meetings.
Business people and Executives are always looking for unique locations to conduct serious business meetings. Time is money and when Executives allocate a day or two to do strategic planning, they want to go back to the office, with clear direction and purpose.
Criteria when choosing the perfect location for business meetings.
When I was still working in the Corporate World, we would often give our secretary the daunting task, of finding the perfect location, for an important business meeting. We had specific criteria, which included the following:
- Secluded with little outside disturbance or interference;
- Boardroom facilities;
- High speed Internet and Wi-Fi;
- Close to main roads or airports;
- Accommodation and meals;
- Facilities to unwind after meetings.
Luxury Hotel in Greenwich, Connecticut.
What a wonderful surprise it was, too be booked into a luxury hotel in Greenwich, CT. This luxurious retreat is a perfect example of blending old with new. Bold colors with attention to detail makes this a gem in Connecticut. Not only does this hotel boasts a state of the art boardroom, spacious and beautiful rooms but it also has one of the best restaurants.
The boardroom has places for 14 to 16 people but can accommodate up to 20 persons at a time. In between meetings we took breaks and relaxed in the lush gardens and spacious verandahs. We were treated to a hearty buffet breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner.
After a full day of brain storming we were treated to fine dining at the Thomas Henkelman Restaurant. During our stay we booked one of the private dining rooms. We were a small group and were seated in the Chestnut room. Here we enjoyed fine French cuisine by the famous Chef Henkelmann. A typical lunch menu consists of the following:
- First course;
- Entrées;
- Cheese course;
- Lunch desserts.
It was a peaceful and productive weekend and we will return for another getaway.
