Hotel Lake Land in Monnickendam,Holland

Lake Land Hotel in Monnickendam.

I stayed in Monnickendam Lake Land Hotel during my Contiki tour in 2004. The hotel is charming with beautiful big windows that offer an amazing view of the lake and marina. My room had a small balcony that overlooked the lake and I loved the view of the sailboats in the marina. It set a wonderful atmosphere and I only have fond memories of my time staying there.

A comfortable room with a beautiful view.

The room was not very big but not cramped. The  beds were very comfortable. The room was a little cold. My room had a sliding door with a beautiful view that overlooked the lake. The room had a small TV. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom. The only downside was the bathroom. There was no shower curtain and the whole bathroom would flood after you have had a shower. Maybe it is standard for Europe but if you are sharing with someone then it is not cool to walk into a soaking wet bathroom.

This hotel is also used by Contiki as base. The town is not a big town and there is not much to do but walk around and enjoy the beautiful views. In any case we only stayed there for the night.

Like I mentioned earlier we only stayed in the hotel vir 1 night so I cannot comment what the service is like if you stay for longer.
