Malaga, situated in the southern part of Spain’s Costa del Sol, is a popular holiday destination. It is a port city and known for its resorts, sandy beaches and high-rise hotels.

- Alcazaba Fortess. King Badis of the Zirid Dynasty built this fortress in 1040 to protect the royal family from invaders.
- Malaga Cathedral, built between the 16th and 18th centuries and known as the Catedral de la Encarnación.
- Sea Life Centre of Benalmadena has a wide variety of exotic fish and maritime recreations.

As with any large city, transport options around Malaga are abundant. You can choose from walking, buses, bicycle, taxis, metro and train. More visitors prefer car hire malaga than any other European country. Why? Because it is cheap to rent a car in Spain. Malaga is no exception. It is easy to rent a car and it can be picked up and dropped off, directly at the airport. I do recommend to rent a car with full insurance.
