Renting a luxury Serviced Apartment in Central Moscow
Many business people and travellers prefer to rent furnished apartments when in Moscow. Hotels can be very impersonal and there are many advantages to renting an apartment including more space, privacy and freedom. Believe it or not but luxury furnished apartments are cheaper to rent than a hotel room! Hotels in central Moscow are very expensive.
what is a serviced apartment?
You often hear people speaking about a `serviced apartment`. Last year when we rented an apartment in Moscow we were also not sure what it meant. We contacted one of the friendly representatives at Moscow Suites and they explained it to us like this.
A serviced apartment is a popular concept in many European countries and Moscow Suites offers several options to suit size and budget requirements. A Studio apartment is a fully self-contained apartment with full kitchen in a 1-Room space (like a hotel room, living space and sleeping area is combined). For greater space and separation, one-bedroom apartments with 2 separate rooms are available. Most apartments can accommodate 1-4 people, but for those looking for more space, you can join two side-by-side studios together to make a big 2-Bedroom/2-Bathroom space. These Moscow apartments are really modern, luxury and cozy. You will feel right at home.
There are many apartments to choose from and we chose the Kiwi Apartment in Noviy Arbat. Facilities included:
- Central Heating and Air Conditioning
- Unlimited High Speed Wi-Fi Internet – The Internet speed in Moscow is lightning fast!
- Flat Screen TV with 100 channels
- Telephone with Unlimited Local Calls
- Digital Safe
- Kitchen with Fridge, Stove, Microwave
- Washing Machine, Iron, Ironing Board
- DVD Player & Stereo
- Tea & Coffee Maker
- Included Water, Tea, Coffee
Apartment Facilities:
- Elevator
- Secure Access to Building
- Bathroom Amenities
- Imported Hotel-Quality Towels and linen.
The apartments are cleaned twice weekly and linen changed once a week unless you request otherwise.
Popular neighborhoods close to Red Square
When we were looking at renting a serviced apartment in Moscow the location was very important to us. We wanted something close to Red Square. The two most popular neighborhoods in central Moscow is Noviy Arbat and Tverskaya. – Noviy Arbat is a very central and makes a great place to stay with many cafes, restaurants, bars and close to the metro. – If you want to stay in the historical center of Moscow then Tverskaya is the place to be. It is at the heart of Pushkin Square and close to offices, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.
