Exploring the Old Town in Barcelona with a Local Guddy.
On a recent trip to Barcelona, we booked a tour through Local Guddy. Local Guddy connects travelers with local guides and offers unique opportunities to see the city as a local. They offered a variety of tours in Barcelona and the prices were affordable. We decided to book a 2-hour tour through the Old Town with Marco.
The tour looked interesting as we both love architecture and to explore hidden gems. The tour promised to show beautiful and hidden squares, gothic streets and stories of local legends. Add to that amazing Roman ruins, beautiful churches and places that have seen Christopher Columbus, Picasso, Gaudí and the Spanish civil war.
How to Book through Local Guddy?
Booking a tour on Local Guddy is easy. You decide on a city, tour, guide, and price. First, you get in contact with the guide to see if the date is available. Once the guide accepts the tour, make the payment via Stripe. Local Guddy pays the guide afterward. They do not set prices for tours. The guide determines the price. Local Guddy takes a 5 USD commission which is already included in the booking price.
Our experience with Local Guddy and the Old Town Tour.
Marco met us at a designated point in Barcelona. He spoke Spanish, English, and Italian and knew the city like the palm of his hand. Interesting information and stories awaited us around every corner. It was a fascinating journey back into time as we visited Plaza Real, Templo de Augusto and Plaza del Pi, to name a few. We only had a couple of days in Barcelona and Marco showed us places that we would not have been able to see in a limited space of time.
Travellers can leave a review after the tour and this is great to decide between the different tours and to get the opinion of other travelers. We will use Local Guddy again when the opportunity arises. It is a great way to meet locals and to get a first-hand experience of a city.
