How to pack boots when travelling the correct way.
When packing a suitcase, it is challenging to pack shoes correctly – especially boots. A friend recently travelled to Texas and bought stunning Stages West Men’s Cowboy Boots for himself. The problem is that he did not know how to pack them correctly. Boots take up a lot of space and they can be big and heavy. The most important part, is that they need to stay in shape as much as possible. If not, they can shrink and damage.
How to pack them correctly to stay in shape and not take up too much space?
Tips on how to pack your boots when traveling.
With the right planning, it is possible to pack your boots correctly.
- Choose the right pair.
The most important part is to plan your outfits and to choose the boots/shoes that goes well with it. Lay your outfits on the bed and match the boots/shoes to see what works and what not. It is better to choose neutral colours that matches with most outfits.
- Keep them in shape.
Unfortunately boots can shrink when not packed properly. It is important to keep them in shape as much as possible. Crumpled newspaper inside them works well or even inflatable boot shapers to keep them upright.
- Use the space inside.
If you do not have enough room inside your suitcase, use the space inside for smaller items like belts, cards or chargers.
- Arrange them correctly.
Lay shoes on their sides in a heel to toe position. This will save space. Shoes can either be put on the top of your clothes or at the bottom. It all depends if you are travelling by plane or by land.
