Bremen Hotel and Spa in Villa General Belgrano.

We decided to get away for a couple of days and were looking for a Hotel or Spa close to home. Hotel Bremen is situated close to the main road to Cordoba and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita – Ruta 5. It is a 3-star Hotel with an Argentine atmosphere and European Standards.

Because we are living so close to Villa General Belgrano, we decided to visit them before booking, to see the facilities and enquire about special packages. It is always cheaper to go after High-Season and to take a mid-week break. This is not always possible for other travellers but we are lucky to have a flexible schedule. We were offered a great package that included 4 nights and 2 60-minutes Holistic massages. The price also included a buffet breakfast.

Review of the Facilities and Service.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. They made us feel welcome from the first moment. We were given a room on the 1st floor that overlooks the back garden. The room was clean, spacious and had it`s own private bathroom. There was a mini-bar, TV, sitting area with a table and 2 chairs as well as a large desk, suitable for business people with laptops. The bed was large with a very comfortable mattress.

We received fresh towels every morning and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was served in the lounge and it was a delicious buffet with various types of bread, fruit salad, yogurt, medialunas and facturas, orange juice, coffee and different types of cereals.

The Hotel has a Spa with a heated swimming pool that was a real treat. There is also a sauna and different types of massages can be booked at reception. Prices vary between 150 and 260 pesos per session. I went for 2 sessions and felt so relaxed afterwards. The sauna takes a while to heat up and doesn`t get very hot but it is still nice to sit there and sweat it out.

Outside is a large swimming pool with chairs and a games room where you can play Darts and Pool.

The Hotel doesn`t have a restaurant but the staff has a lot of recommendations where you can eat and ordering take-aways id very easy and not too expensive. They prepare a place for you to eat in the bar area and here you can buy something to drink.

Recommending Bremen Hotel.

Bremen Hotel comes highly recommended if you are tired and need to relax. The Hotel has a nice atmosphere and has all the facilities that you can expect of a Spa. The only thing that I didn`t like was the noise from the Main Road. This is not the fault of the Hotel because it is situated very close to a busy road. This however also has advantages because it is very easy to get a bus from the main road. The Hotel is situated 2kms from the town center and it is a very nice and refreshing walk.

I will definitely return to Bremen Hotel in the future.
