Outback Bar–Koh Phangan

Outback Bar–Koh Phangan

Outback Bar–Koh Phangan.

We stumbled upon the Outback Bar when we just arrived in Koh Phangan. It was mid-day and we were starving. When I saw the restaurant from outside, I knew I had to go inside. It did not disappoint!

The entrance to the restaurant.

The restaurant looks like an enormous tree house. The roof is covered with shrubs, bright flowers, branches and it looks really inviting. It is spacious inside with beautiful art against the walls and even the roof. The main attraction is the bar and customers were happily chatting away as we found a table to be seated.

The bar and main attraction.

Wooden tables and pillows were scattered everywhere and I can imagine friends sitting down here and enjoying a drink.

Outback Bar food

Then the menu arrived and it took us forever to decide what we wanted to eat. Talk about a variety! Foreigners will love the Outback Bar and Restaurant because here you will find food like bangers and mash, roast dinner, full English breakfast, pies, lasagna,Irish stew and fish and chips.

No wonder we couldn’t decide what to order. I fancied the salmon steak and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. So it did, with gravy, potatoes and peas. What a treat! I think this must have been one of the best meals that I have had during our stay in Thailand.

My delicious salmon steak!

The Outback is not only about food. This is a place where people get together, have a drink, play pool, watch the rugby or soccer and generally relax after a day at the beach with a Guinness or Stowford Press Cider.

Where to find the Outback Bar and Restaurant?

When you get off the fairy at Had Rin, walk to the main street. The restaurant is on your left-hand side about two blocks from the beginning of the main street.
