Lanseria International Airport – Johannesburg, South Africa.

Lanseria International Airport is currently the only privately owned International Airport in South Africa. The airport is situated close to Randburg and Sandton and is ideal for business people, who are flying on a daily basis between Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Local airlines flying these routes are Kulula and Mango but the airport is not limited to smaller airplanes. They do cater for Boeing 737’s as well.

During my visit to South Africa I had a flight on Kulula to Lanseria International Airport. This was a wise decision because traffic to O.R. Tambo International Airport is horrific early in the morning.

Lanseria International Airport Review.

I had a short layover at Lanseria Airport and didn’t use many of the above facilities. I loved the lay-out of the airport and navigation was easy. The pick-up area is a breeze and I can highly recommend Lanseria Airport as an alternative to people travelling between Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

What does other travelers say about Lanseria International Airport?

Really pleasant and convenient airport. Minimal queues and pleasant staff. A really nice touch is the free coffee, tea and newspapers for all passengers in the departure lounge. I just wish that the runway was long enough to permit direct flights from the UK to land here.

I have been fortunate to have done quite a bit of travelling over the last 10 years. By heart I am an adventurer and I love exploring new places, cultures and food. Travelling can become stressful and expensive. Over the years I have learnt to travel as cost effective as possible, simply by travelling more clever. Nelmitravel.com is a Adventure and Budget Travel site where I review Airlines, Accommodation, Transport, Restaurants and give helpful travel information.

Thank you for visiting. Have a fabulous day!
